Hello Kitty was born on November 1st and she lives in London, England with her parents and her twin sister, Mimmy. These third graders have lots of friends at school with whom they share many adventures. Most often it ís Hello Kitty who leads the group, and usually they all end up learning an important lesson in the process. Her hobbies include traveling, music, reading, eating yummy cookies her sister Mimmy bakes, and best of all making new friends. After all, as Hello Kitty always says, you can never have too many friends.

A wanna-be lifeguard who has a little trouble swimming, Pekkle hails from Australia. He is one very laid-back duck and at first glance he might even look a bit lazy! But if there ever was an unlikely hero, it is Pekkle. He is extremely loyal, especially to his girlfriend Ruby and his constant aquatic companion, Pich the fish. In return all of his friends love him dearly. As clumsy as he appears, Pekkle is a very talented dancer and body surfer and most times you can find him down on the beach with his friends. His birthday is July 27th.

Think of Pochacco as the most popular purebred in the neighborhood. This sports-minded pup is the best three-on-three basketball player on the playground and a not so shabby soccer goalie too. He ís got a few quirks; how many vegetarian canines do you know? Carrots rank high on Pochaccoís list of favorite foods but banana ice cream is his all time favorite! He is also a leap year pup, celebrating his birthday on February 29th.

Tuxedo Sam was born in Antarctica, at the South Pole, but was educated in England. His best friends are his brothers, Tam and Ham, and a seal named Chip. He knows how to speak English in addition to his native language, Penguinese . Right now Tuxedo Sam is learning to speak Spanish, Japanese and Russian so that he can communicate with his friends all over the world.

Pippo is not your ordinary pig. In fact, he has his own apartment! It is a little on the small side, but he is across the street from a large park. His birthday is on December 16th. Spring is his favorite time of the year when he can play in the park with his squirrel friend, Risu, and the robins that nest nearby. Pippo is an expert storyteller, and the robins love to hear the stories he tells. Sometimes he loses his place as he spins a tale, but the robins do not seem to mind! Pippo is as curious as a pig can get and often his curiosity gets him into trouble, but mainly it just helps him discover new things and make new friends.

As his April 1st birthday would suggest, Badtz Maru is one mischievous little penguin. He lives with his mother and pinball-playing father in Gorgeoustown. He attends the first grade at the Gorgeous Academy where he plays recess with his friends Hana Maru, a white seal, and Pandaba, a panda bear. After school Badtz Maru attracts lots of attention as he walks around the park with his pet alligator, but Pochi is as nice a gator as you will ever meet. Badtz Maru has dreams of greatness when he grows up, but for now he rolls his eyes at his humorous life in Gorgeoustown.

Born in the flower garden at Sanrio Puroland on January 1st, Picke Bicke claims to be 100% mouse, but he cannot help mimicking the other animals he plays with. He can hop like a frog and most astonishingly, he uses his oversized ears to fly like a butterfly. Well, not quite like a butterfly - he only gets a few inches off the ground. Picke Bicke has some large features for a small mouse. In addition to his big ears, his body is a little too round and his ribbon-accented tail is a little too long. But this suits him just fine because he uses his tail for everything from jumping rope to holding his leaf umbrella when it rains.

Pink no Corisu came from the Pinkuru Planet to Earth to see how many flowers she could make bloom here by using the power of the little blossom she wears on her head! On her planet, there are lots of flowers and it is very peaceful. She loves it because her mama and papa (the king and queen of the Pinkuru Planet Squirrel Kingdom) live there and the air is always filled with the sweet smell of flowers!

Most monkeys like bananas, but only Monkichi can eat ten bananas in one minute! Our perky primate celebrates his birthday on January 13th. He lives high in the mountains with all his friends, including his best friend, Monta. Monta is quite a bit smaller than Monkichi and can outrun any monkey around. This helps because Monta loves to play tricks on all of his monkey friends, except Monkichi. Monkichi loves keeping his friends entertained with stories, jokes and poems. His dream is to one day be a poet or maybe a professional comedian.

Keroppi was born on July 10th. He lives with his brother, sister and parents in a big house on the edge of Donut Pond, the largest and bluest pond around. Most of his best friends live nearby, including his girlfriend, Keroleen. He is the natural leader of his large group of friends, and he leaps to help his pals in their time of need. Keroppi and his friends share his love for playing games, especially baseball and boomerangs. But most often he is seen with his little snail friend, Den Den, always tagging along and usually a little behind.

This little boy cat is just brimmin' with fun! Although he tends to be a little scatter-brained at times, he's always up on the latest news (thanks to his ultra-sensitive "antenna" whiskers!) He gets his name from his chocolate-colored nose. He has fun playing around his house (the "Choco-choco house") with his friends Cookie-bau the dog, Nutz the hamster, Jellybean the bunny and the Duckies. His birthday is May 10th.
